Zero Trust Architecture

Get blown away! (literally) Conventional security models operate on the outdated assumption that everything on the inside your network can be trusted, but given increased attack sophistication and insider threats, new security measures need to be taken to stop them from spreading once inside. Join us for lunch and security presentations and then experience indoor skydiving at iFLY. Businesses who want to reliably prevent the exfiltration of sensitive data and improve their ability to defend against modern cyberthreats can consider a Zero Trust architecture. We’ll introduce you to the concepts that define a Zero Trust architecture and discuss how you can get started today. Ensure all data and resources are accessed securely, regardless of location. Adopt a least-privileged access strategy and strictly enforce access control. “Always verify,” meaning inspect and log all traffic. Add more authentication methods, to counter credential based attacks. Never trust, always keep adding context and keep your roles up-do-date. Sign up now to experience how zero trust can help your organization take flight. Limit 2 per company and all registrations are subject to availability.

Nebraska Cybersecurity Conference 2017

Today, more than ever, the public sector relies on technology and the Internet for a variety of transactions, communication and information. These transactions, while not limited to government employees, take place at home, in school and at the work place.  In the Information Technology industry, we are familiar with the myriad of conveniences provided through Internet use, and sometimes it is difficult to stay abreast of all the changes and the potential risks presented by the Internet. We are all “virtual neighbors” in cyberspace, and what we do – or don’t do – can affect many others. The Nebraska Cyber Security Conference will assist in raising our awareness of cyber security and help in protecting all of us in cyberspace. If we each do our part, we can collectively have a positive impact on Nebraska’s secure resources. The 12th Annual Nebraska Cyber Security Conference will be held September 28th, 2017 at the main campus of Southeast Community College (84th & “O” St.)
